Veganist: Lose Weight, Get Healthy, Change the World, In her book, Kathy Freston, is describing to the readers the benefits of eating or having a vegan diet. The diet helps lose weight and be healthier, be kind to animals, and to the environment. She also talks about the spirituality that comes when one eats vegan.

all the chapters deals with the benefits of eating healthy and there is a wonderful commentary at the end of those chapters. The first few chapters deals with how people with diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure were able to reverse their ailments simply by changing their diets.

Freston recommends that people eat vegan and how this will help the planet in return. She also has strong views about how animals are raised and one of the interesting thing to read about was about some chickens being raised just for their eggs. This was a tough chapter to read and I am not going o say a lot about it here because you will not buy the book.

She is also provided a sample of a meal that she will typically have over a three week period. Contrary to popular belief that vegan life is simple and boring, she includes a lot of variety and interesting food types in her sample.

Freston provide a lot of different meal options and she goes extra mile by also telling the readers where some of the staff can be bought. I like this part because some of the shops she refers to are very inexpensive and sell both organic and inorganic food.

Unlike other authors of diet books that will put a heavy burden on the reader, the author is cleverly introducing the vegan life style by encouraging a slow and progressive introduction on these meals to the individual’s life. I think the reason most diet books to make it is because they expect to reader to do too much and sacrifice a lot and this a big change for most people to easily adopt.

if you struggling to make a decision whether to be vegan or not, this book will surely help you and guide you to the right direction. I think it has everything that a reader would like to know.

from my side, this is a must read. The book has been on amazon top 100 bestselling list for two days and ahs only few ratings, but from my side, I think its only a matter of time before many people hear about it.
